Notes for Henry Lyell
Henry Lyell, born in Sweden in 1665, settled in London and became a prominent businessman. He served as a director of the East India Company from 1710 to 1730, holding the position of Deputy Chairman from 1716 to 1718 and then as Chairman from 1718 to 1719, 1721 to 1722, and once more as Deputy Chairman from 1725 to 1726. He concluded his tenure as Chairman in 1727.
