Notes for Samuel Fredrik af Bjerkén
Samuel Fredrik, born on March 27, 1766, was the son of Per Bjerkén, who was ennobled and adopted by Bjerkén. From April 1, 1785, to April 12, 1786, he served as a volunteer in the Turku County Regiment and later became an adjutant in the same regiment. In 1796, he was promoted to lieutenant in the army and served in the Uppland Regiment from December 18, 1799, to December 18, 1799. He was promoted to lieutenant once more in 1803 and passed away on February 2, 1806, in Uppsala.

On December 21, 1800, Samuel Fredrik married Fredrika Christina Graaner in Läby, a parish in Uppsala County. Fredrika Christina was the daughter of Major Johan Grabner and Anna Maria Wallner, and she was born on February 6, 1781. She passed away on April 26, 1848, in Karlstad. Fredrika Christina had previously been married to Major Johan Anders Boije af Gennäs, who was born in 1766 and passed away in 1834.
