Notes for Christian Öller
Belonging to the Landskrona magistrate, the alderman in 1681, and later becoming the mayor in 1690, the individual enjoyed correspondence with the Governors General Gyllenstierna (1679) and Asceberg (1684) for many years, expressing gratitude for their support during the past conflicts. Verified in 1683, the individual was buried behind the cross in the church in Landskrona. The church in question is likely “the old church” St. John Baptistae, constructed around 1420. In 1752, the church tower was demolished, and the entire church was demolished in 1780. The City Park served as a cemetery until 1869 when it was repurposed as a park. Since then, the foundation of the historic church has been unearthed, and a reconstruction of the foundations of the old church was built in the 1930s.131
